World-renowned DJs head to Burnley for dance festival

Complete with appearances from world-renowned DJs, Burnley Dance Festival proves its in Vogue with a stellar night of bass-busting spills and thrills.

Despite the event having moved from the original venue at the University of Central Lancashire’s Burnley campus to the Vogue nightclub, the line-up promises a classically high-octane night, with the club playing host to some of the big hitters on the UK and European DJ scene.

BBC One DJ Danny Howard – called ‘the new shining light in the broadcasters play list’ by fellow DJ, Paul Taylor – will be one of the premier names set to wow the crowds, with the crème de la crème from the world-famous Cream, Seb Fontaine, also making a much-vaunted appearance.

Paul Taylor, a Burnley local and founder of the Retro brand under which the festival is set to take place, will also be performing his renowned set, and spoke of his excitement for what should be an exceptional night.

“We will be transforming Vogue with a huge club makeover with amazing special effects and state of the art lighting,” said Paul.

“Alongside Danny [Howard] will be Cream legend and ex-Radio One presenter, Seb Fontaine, and I will be performing a full-on Retro set for a mammoth 4 hours.”

As well as the big-hitters oin the Main Room at Vogue, an additional back room will be opened up on the night, complete with a newly installed large sound system and full lights package to house some of the town’s local DJs.

The ‘Local Heroes’ room, as it is being dubbed, will play host to a roster of Burnley DJs who have supported the venue, helping to promote new concepts, allowing them to showcase their prodigious skills.

“I’m a Burnley lad and the show had to go on!” said Taylor.

Doors open at 10pm on Sunday, May 1st, and close at 8am. The minimum age requirement is 18,tickets can be purchased online from £15.
