Loyal fans of self styled “male diva” and semi-finalist in “Britain’s Got Talent” Andrew Derbyshire are to be rewarded with a one-off solo show.
Andrew is coming home to his Lancashire roots to perform An Evening With Andrew Derbyshire at the Mechanics Theatre in Burnley in September. He hopes the show will be the ideal way of thanking his fans across the county for the unfailing support they gave him when he appeared on the show but failed to win a place in the final after scathing comments from the celebrity judges.
Andrew said: “I am really excited about the show in Burnley, it will be the first time I have performed at home in ages.
“I have had so much support from people in Burnley, Padiham and across Lancashire I just thought it would be nice to say thank you to everyone.’’
And the night will be filled with emotion for Andrew as he is returning to the stage where he performed as a child and dreamed of stardom.
The show will be an intimate look back at Andrew’s career and feature some well loved musical theatre hits and some of his own favourite songs. He is also hoping that two stars from London’s West End will make a guest appearance with him along with home-grown stars.
Andrew grew up in Padiham and has appeared in a couple of hit West End shows. The show will be held on Saturday at 7-30pm and Sunday at 3pm, September 13th and 14th and tickets, priced at £18, concessions £17, are available by ringing the box office on 01282 664400.
