Local schools to represent Burnley in Lancashire Games Finals

PUPILS from St Leonard’s and St Peter’s have won a place to represent Burnley in the SPAR Lancashire School Games county finals.

St Leonard’s beat nine other schools in a Tri-golf competition held at Hameldon College, and St Peter’s competed against 15 schools from Burnley in the mini tennis tournament.

Both schools will now line up with schools from across Lancashire at the county finals at the Primary School Games on June 25th.

Hundreds of spectators are expected to support the county finals, which are now part of the national £128m school games programme and are sponsored by James Hall & Company Ltd, the SPAR distributors for the North of England.
