Igten Mount Bowling Club host bowls event today

IGHTEN Mount Bowling Club is running a one-day Mixed Pairs Bowling competition today.

The draw is:

10 a.m. - D. and P. Ashworth v K. and I. Charnock; A. Harrison and K. Lush v N. and J. Whitaker; J. Lacy and Partner v L. Ramell and Partner; P. Redmond and S. Holmes v P. and C. Watson.

10-45 a.m. - F. and S. Roberts v Joe and A. Heyes; G. Evans and P. Newcombe v I. Haitley and C. Harris; A. and B. Walsh v R. and M. Hancock; C. Ramell and L. Burns v B. Smith and D. Gillespie.

11-30 a.m. - B. and M. Cumberbach bye; Dave and P. McGuirk bye; T. and I. Frankland v A. and S. Pickup; M. and J. Harrison v P. Wellman and S. Moorhouse.

12-15 p.m. - B. and T. Wilson v K. and M. Tootle; P. and J. Hobson v L. and C. Bleakley; G. Proctor and J. Patmore v M. Russell and J. Frankland; C. Thomas and V. Peet v D. Walker and K. Gillespie.

Refreshments will be available from 9-45 a.m. at Ighten Mount, could bowlers please arrive by the start time indicated.

• AMERICAN football team Burnley Tornados are looking at starting up a senior team.

The youth team finished the third best team in the UK this season with just the Lancashire Rose Bowl competition left tomorrow, at Blackburn Rugby Club.
