New sponsorship deal for Padiham

PADIHAM Cricket Club have announced a new sponsorship deal for the next two seasons with BAAS Construction Ltd.

The firm, based at The Old Chapel on Brooklands Road in Burnleyt, have agreed to back the club for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

The club begin their Ribblesdale League campaign on August 14th at home to Barnoldswick, with professional Chris Holt back for a second season, looking to build on his excellent year with the club.

Holt, in league games alone, hit 828 runs at 28.55, and also claimed 99 wickets at 15.17.

Padiham finished seventh last time out, and will be looking to make a dent into the top four this time around.

They follow up their opening game with trips to Ribblesdale Wanderers (April 21st) and Whalley (28th), before returning to the Arbories on the 29th to host Salesbury.

In the Ramsbottom Cup, Padiham host holders Ribblesdale Wanderers on May 6th.

Derby rivals Read are at Settle in the cup, and open up in the league at Great Harwood.
