Woolstencroft is appointed as head coach at Burnley Tennis Club

David Woolstencroft has been appointed as Burnley Tennis Club Head Coach.

David, originally from Brierfield, has spent the last sixyears working as a tennis coach around the UK and overseas, including a year in Greece, Turkey and New Zealand working as a Performance Coach.

He also worked with Tennis New Zealand, supporting them with their under 14 national ranked players and coached two national top 10-ranked players.

On his return to the UK, he worked as a Lead Performance Coach at a number of venues in the south, including several David Lloyd centres.

David has extensive experience in delivering coaching for a wide range of players and establishing coaching programmes.

He recently returned to the North West and is passionate about developing tennis in Burnley and Pendle.

David is the director of Tennisaces Academy, which will be based at Burnley Tennis Club.

Burnley Tennis Club and Tennisaces Academy have been chosen to provide the Schools’ Sports Partnership programme, delivering Mini Tennis into primary schools across Burnley and Pendle.

In addition, Tennisaces Academy is also coaching a number of organisations in the North West including Burnley College.

Tennisaces Academy will be holding a Schools Mini Tennis Open Day to coincide with Burnley Tennis Club’s Annual Open Day on Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you are interested in going along for an hour’s free coaching, the times are 9-10 a.m. for ages 4-8, 10-11 a.m. for 9-10s, and 11 a.m. to noon for schools’ mini competition team coaching.
