The new Burnley and District Snooker League season is almost upon us.

And the league will again be sponsored by Pendle Kitchens this coming season.

The league has also managed to secure sponsorship from other local companies.

Pendle Kitchens will again be the main league sponsors, with subsidiary sponsorship provided by Santa’s Pizzas and Lee Owens Electrical Services.

This means all prize money for the coming season is greatly enhanced, enabling the league to attract new teams to compete.

Registraion night was last night at Ighten Mount Bowling Club.

Meanwhile, the Fosters Golden Cue competition has reached the semi-final stage.

The last four ties will be played on small tables, over the best of five frames, at Ighten Leigh Social Club.

There is the possibility of an all-St Andrew’s final, with the draw and dates as follows:

Thursday, August 8th: S. Shepherd (+15, Lamb Club) v D. Cregg (+5, St Andrew’s); Saturday, August 10th: B. Collinge (+5, Briercliffe) v P. Averill (+5, St Andrew’s).
