Ighten Leigh Social Club recently hosted 1980 World snooker champion Cliff Thorburn for an exhibition.

The day raised around £300 for Lancashire Air Ambulance, and the Canadian - who in 1983 became the first player to make a 147 break at the World Championships - played a selection of top local players, with Golden Cue champion Glenn Stevenson the only player to beat him.

Thorburn finished with a trick shot routine and Question and Answer session.
