FORMER World champion Cliff Thorburn was the special guest at the D&D Burnley Snooker League presentation night at Dickie Pinks.

The Canadian, nicknamed “The Grinder” played nine frames against various prize winners from the season, while there was a raffle to play two further frames.

The 1980 World champion then finished off the night with some trick shots to entertain the large crowd.

The winners from over the season collected their prizes from the retired ace, the first player to compile a maximum break at the World Championships.

A Division winners were Padiham Snooker Club, while the B Division title went to British Rail B.

Singles champion was Danny Rushton, and the Doubles winners were Sean Greenhall and Simon Blackwell.

The Fred Musgrove Team Knockout was won by Burnley Snooker Club B.

The A Division Order of Merit went to Andy Dibb and Chris Ashton, and in the B Division, Keith McGoogan took the honour.
