Shayne Singleton and challenger Sam Eggington have squared up ahead of their contest at Hull’s Ice Arena on Saturday night.
WBC Silver International welterweight champion Singleton guarded the strap on his left shoulder as the pair posed for the media with Matchroom’s Divide and Conquer show on the horizon.
At the City Hall, in front of Sky Sports cameras, the undefeated 25-year-old said: “Sam Eggington won’t have to chase me. I am a different fighter to the Curtis Woodhouse fight and people are in for a shock.”
Singleton’s opponent, who stopped Sebastien Allais in the first round of his last bout, said: “It’s a big night for me with the title on the line and the show in Birmingham on May 9th. There’s a lot of pressure on me.
I know that I need a big win to have an important fight on the show in Birmingham.”
