The Richmonds are keeping it in the family as three siblings are on a boxing bill at The Mechanics.
Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic student Anya, 14, will take part in her first bout for Sandygate Boxing Club at 69kg at the end of next month.
Brother Bram, also a Blessed Trinity student, is more experienced with three skill clashes and two fights under his bel t– both wins - at 40kg even though he is just 12.
And then younger brother Troy, 10, who goes to St John’s in Cliviger, will also be on the line-up.
“I originally went to Sandygate for women’s fitness classes,” said Anya, who is also a keen rugby player and has been selected for the England Under 15 training squad.
“Bram and Troy started going to boxing and then I got involved with the boxing side of it and we have all been encouraged by coach Nik Tucker.
“I am not too worried about getting hurt. I can’t wait to fight!”
