Burnley Golf Club staged its Foursomes Qualifier on Saturday, with a field of over 70 pairs vying for one of the 32 places in the knockout stages.
On the day the best score was shot by Mark Ridgway and Gary Blades with 65 shots, followed by Carl Wheeler and Peter Lofthouse with 65.5.
The ladies’ Single Stableford was won by Lynda Makin with 26 points from Sue Kelly with 22. The Scott Leggatt Foursomes Qualifier went to Jean Scaife and Elsie Thornber, whose 26 points was seven better than Deborah Horrocks and Joyce Green.
Then the Medal was won by Lynda Makin again (109-29-80) from Joyce Green (98-17-81).
At Towneley, Simon Smith won another midweek Stableford on Thursdat with 36 points on the card from Graham Varley.
The Tuesday event was won by Adam Getty with 38 points, also on the card from Mick Sullivan, with Mick Canby nearest the pin at both the 6th and 17th holes.
