Children from Burnley’s Springs BEST Karate Club recently travelled to Bristol for a masterclass and seminar.

The event was hosted by world Chief Instructor of Budo Karate International, Sensei Malcolm Dorfman, who travelled from South Africa especially.

Sensei Warren de Vries, the instructor of Springs BEST, who train at the BEST)Centre on Network 65, trained under Sensei Malcolm in their hometown of Springs in South Africa.

He said: “It is such an honour for our club to get the opportunity to take part in this seminar and be trained by Sensei Malcolm. It was a long day but I’m so proud of our children and how well they listened and took on everything they learned.”

Huey Preece was one of the children who travelled with the club, and he added: “I had a fantastic day. It was great to be taught by Sensei Malcolm and see how good all the others were. I learned a lot and can’t wait to train and practise all my new things.”
