Improvements at Golf Rossendale Driving Range

Golf Rossendale Driving Range & Academy will close for one day this week for essential improvements to the outfield.

The range will be closed on Wednesday 16 March so that ground staff can install extra drainage.

This is part of the range’s commitment to getting the outfield in top condition in time for the coming golf season.

Managing director Scott Grundy said: “Unfortunately the weather has been against us since we started construction in July. Consequently our outfield has suffered. We are determined that it will be in the best condition possible for the coming season so we have taken the decision to close for one day next week to allow work to take place.

“We have chosen Wednesday as that is the only day where we do not have any lessons or Junior Academy sessions so it will cause the minimum disruption to our golfers. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope that people will understand that this work is part of our continued commitment to providing a top-class golf facility in the Valley.”
