Hameldon shine in town gymnastics competition

In the recent Burnley Schools’ Gymnastics Competition at the BEST Centre, Hameldon Community College won two team gold medals.

The Level 1 team were awarded the gold medal, with Daryl Kerr gaining the individual bronze medal. The team was Kerr, Paris Ellis, Imogen Flaherty and Rebecca Barnes, all Year 7 students.

The Level 3 Team also won gold with an outstanding performance from individual bronze medallist Taome Liddiard.

The team, Year 8 and 9 students, was Liddiard, Sinead Nichol, Rebecca Bartle and Chloe Hollas.

The Level 2 team had two exceptional performances from Hannah Whittaker and Skye Hindle.

Senior performers Holly Jackson and Aimee Motterhead also gained silver in the Pairs competition with an almost perfect routine.
