Burnley Rounders Festival will be taking place at Prairie Sports Village on Sunday, where the elite Under 16, Under 19 and Senior England squads will make a special appearance.

After the success of rounders across the country, a great interest has been shown in bringing the England Squads to Burnley.

This weekend’s festival, from 11am to 4pm will see the Under 16, Under 19 and senior England squads take on the local leagues from the Burnley area.

Throughout the day, spectators can expect to see a series of matches played with a healthy competitive spirit from all participating teams.

Michele Golland, head coach and events organiser at Rounders England said:

“The Rounders fixtures are a great opportunity to showcase our beloved sport and raise the profile of Rounders when seen played at its best.

“The atmosphere at our events is phenomenal and always proves to be a success each year.”

There are four female England squads which represent Rounders England at fixtures and festivals over the playing season.

They play annually, in both home and away games.

The squads are elite players and are ambassadors for England and for the sport of Rounders.

Rounders is a great spectator sport. There is no charge for attending any of the festivals and fixtures.
