BURNLEY Tennis club are holding a community open day on Saturday, March 3rd from 12-3 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to try their hand at tennis, or simply to come along and see what tennis at Burnley is all about - both adults and juniors alike are welcome for all or part of the day.

There is no need to book, and there will be the opportunity for people to take part in a friendly American Tournament or just have a hit.

Anyone who enjoys the day and wants to join the club will benefit from the following membership rates available, with opportunities to play 52 weeks a year on six all-weather courts, three of which have floodlights, and easy access to the clubhouse.

There is free British Tennis Membership, saving £25, and your name goes into the ballot to try and get tickets for the Wimbledon Championships 2012.

There is also regular weekly social, family and competitive tennis, opportunities for individual and group coaching from beginner level upwards, and regular club social events, all this while improving your health and wellbeing, meeting new friends and having fun!

Junior Under 16 membership is from as little as £25 for the full year and Student memberships just £50 for the full year.

The tennis club is situated just off Belvedere Road in Burnley, next to the fire station, and equipment will be provided if you don’t have any.

All you need are trainers and some enthusiasm.
