Burnley Ladies’ Inter-Town Bowling Team, who recently had success in a county event at Fulwood Conservative Club in Preston, are on the lookout for new players.

The Burnley Team play on Saturday afternoons througout the summer months against teams from different Lancashire towns, with 12 ladies in a team, and always play on neutral greens approximately half way between towns.

In 2014 it is Burnley’s turn to select a President, which means that both Lancashire President’s Day and the Charity Team event will be held in Burnley.

The town team are actively recruiting new players for next season and any lady who would like to join the team would be made to feel welcome, with experience at this level not necessary as enthusiasm is more important!

There are seven matches in the league along with a Knockout Cup competition. The team members are also invited to join President’s Day and the Lancashire Merit, where the winner qualifies for The Ladies’ Champion of Champions as Lancashire’s representative.

If any lady bowler is interested in joining the team, contact Mavis Hancock (425314).
