THREE students from Burnley’s Hakuda gym were in fighting form at a recent Thai boxing competition.

Alexis Walker made her debut at Johnny T’s Show in Radcliffe, against Rachael Hughes, winning a unanimous decision.

Super heavyweight Duncan Stewart fought a fighter from the promoter’s gym called Adam Banks and came out on top, stopping his opponent in the third round with a body kick that broke Banks’ arm.

Sixteen-year-old Ben Moore was then up next fighting for a North-West title against a hugely more experienced Ste Foy.

The fight went the distance with Ben only losing by one point.

Fighters are competing again on February 5th and February 27th before the Main Event at the Trafford Centre on March 31st.

The gym is also looking for anybody who would interested in sponsoring the fighters.
