Burnley Gymnastics Club were among the prize winners at the Lancashire Sports Awards in Blackpool.
Colne’s Olympic gold medallist Steve Burke handed out the awards on the night.
Burnley Gymnastics Club were highly commended in the Funds4Clubs Community Club of the Year, which was won by JUMP UK Trampoline and Gymnastics Club - South Ribble.
And in the UCLAN Coach of the Year, Burnley’s Kimberley Sharples, pictured with her award, was also highly commended. The section was won by Preston’s Colin Robson.
Other winners were SportsMakers Young Volunteer of the Year - Ryan Ashton (Lancaster); Highly Commended - Lucy Briggs (Wyre); Serco Leisure Adult Volunteer of the Year - Lucy Rudd (Fylde); Highly Commended - Bill Wilkinson (Hyndburn); Lancaster University School of the Year - St Francis CE Primary School (Blackburn with Darwen); Highly Commended - Ormskirk School; Thornton Sports Lifetime Achievement - Graham Lawton (Wyre); South Ribble Leisure Young Achiever of the Year - Beau Smith (Lancaster); Highly Commended - Niamh Robinson (Blackburn with Darwen) and Hannah Pike (Preston); Lancashire Care NHS Trust Service to Disability Sport Winner - Carl Eaton (West Lancashire).
