He finished a shot ahead of Craig Holden, who was second on the card from Peter Lofthouse with +5.
A bogey competition is where a player plays against the course, and scores either better or worse than the par for each hole.
So a player finishing on 6, as the winner did, has played 6 shots better than par.
A player with a minus score has scored that many shots worse than the par for the course.
In the ladies’ competition, last Thursday, Norma Munroe and Audrey Hill’s 37 points won, after a card play-off with Susan Kelly and Lynda Makin.
