Steve Keenan and Neville Stott won the Levens Betterball at Burnley Golf Club on Saturday after a card play-off.
The pair scored 43 points. as did Charles Harris and Jim Varley, but after closer sacritiny of the cards, Steve and Neville emerged victorious.
Third, with 42 points, were Peter Sylvester and Paul Fitzpatrick.
The ladies’ competition, the Harold Hargreaves Medal, played last Thursday, was won by Lynda Makin (101-28-73), six shots clear of Elsie Thornber (94-15-79), with Debbie Howarth third (94-15-79).
The junior competition, a medal round, saw Matthew Casper come out on top after cards with a 66, edging Matthew Shirt into second.
Macauley Walton was third with a 71.
Meanwhile, Towneley won the annual fixture against Burnley for the prestigious Levens Cup, played at Towneley, with a margin of 18 wins to 11 - their first victory in three years.
Highest winning margin for the victors was 6 and 4 for Nigel Clark and Graham Varley.
Rick McAdam and Marvin Clegg were Glen View’s star duo.
Burnley captain Terry Clarke presented the trophy to Jimmy Dugdale and praised the excellent condition of the course.
Nearest the pin awards went to Jonathan Turner at the sixth and H. Thorne at the 17th.
Head greenkeeper Damian “Radar” Hartley won the subsidiary stableford with 41 points, with new member J. Mantle runner-up a point adrift.
John Miller won the Tuesday competition at Towneley with 43 points, with Faz Mahmood (36 points) the Tuesday winner on the card from Lee Shepherd.
