Brothers Harry and Tobias Pilkington have qualified for the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Final - to be held at the Olympic Park, London on April 6th.
The pair - both Burnley Athletics Club members and Burnley Bobcats swimmers - came through the semi-final phase at Tudor Grange, Solihull, and will now compete in Stratford, with the Olympic Park open for the first time for a public event.
Harry, 13, attends St Christopher’s, Accrington, and will take on a 1,600m run and 100m swim.
He will look to enjoy similar success after his exploits in the final last year at Crystal Palace, where he won his heat of the 50m swim, and his heat of the 500m in a new personal best.
His run was eighth fastest, but combined with his swim, placed fourth overall.
Tobias, 10, attends wellfield school and will compete in the 800m and 50m swim.
