Roche Boxing’s Aaron Hayden extended his unbeaten record as he took on Barrow in Furness’ big-hitting Steve Royle in a fan-favourite contest.
Someone’s “0” had to go, 19-year-old Aaron going into the contest against fellow undefeated opponent Royle, 15 years his senior.
Aaron knew he had the crowd against him, and the contest was also billed as Man v Boy, but by the end of the bout, the billing had changed round with Arron schooling the 34-year-old, winning every round.
He had to dig deep and show great heart, taking some heavy shots at times, but his speed and agility was just too much for Royle.
Aaron has had a busy couple of weeks now - two fights in 14 days - winning both fights, having given weight by up to 4kg.
He moves on now to November 7th where he boxes on Fox ABC’s show in Moston, where he hopes to keep his undefeated run going.
Coach Brian Roche said: “Aaron has a massive future ahead of him if he wants it and shows good dedication to the game. He is one to watch around this area.”
