Bobcats swimmers William Murray (15) and Dean Moorhouse (13) represented Lancashire in the British Gas ASA National County Team Championships in Sheffield last weekend.
Lancashire had won the title for the past 11 years and the pressure was on to maintain this winning streak at Ponds Forge, inspired by London 2012 Olympian Siobhan-Marie O’Connor of Somerset and Junior International Medallists Molly Renshaw (Derbyshire) and James Guy (Somerset).
In Division 1 Lancashire faced their close rivals Yorkshire, with Middlesex, Kent, Cheshire and Somerset all in the running.
Will Murray competed in the 4 x 50m Medley Team and swam an excellent freestyle leg bringing Lancashire home in first place.
Dean Moorhouse then took to the blocks in the 4x50m Medley Team, swimming a fantastic freestyle leg.
The last event of the competition was the Mixed 6 x 50m Freestyle relay, with Lancashire were just touched out of first place by Somerset.
But this was enough to crown them champions yet again for the 12th time.
