Burnley Bobcats swimmers in impressive form at Level 1 Meet in Stockport

Earlier this month, 11 Burnley Bobcats swimmers took part in the Level 1 Stockport Metro Open Meet.

In the 800m freestyle, 14-year-olds Grace Pickles, second, and Madison Beswick, seventh, swam well.

Thomas Mackay (14) was then fourth in the 1,500m freestyle, in a Regional qualifying time.

In the 100m butterfly, Ellie Taylor (14) finished fifth, and in the 100m freestyle, with William Beaven was second second and Mackay seventh.

Taylor made her second final, in the 100m freestyle, competing against team mates Erica Minozzi (15) and Pickles.

Minozzi won, with Taylor second and Pickles fifth.

Minozzi added another win and a second place, while Kerry Holding (18) also had two first places and a third.

Beavan added a win and a third place to his runners-up spot, with Taylor achieving three second place positions.

Pickles achieved two second places and a third while Lily-Grace Duckworth (10) gained two second places and a two thirds.

Mia Sheridan, also 10, achieved personal best times in her events, while Lewis McKenna (12) claimed a second and a third place.
