BURNLEY Bobcats swim squad travelled to Leasowe, Wallasey to compete in Round 2 of The National Arena Swimming League.

Having easily won Round 1 of the competition in October, Bobcats were facing teams from St Helens, Ellsemere Port, Bolton, Northwich and Leyland.

Once again the Bobcats swimmers gave excellent performances taking first place and maximum points in 19 of the 40 races, second in another nine races with third place in seven races.

Bobcats finished with a total of 199 points.

The final is scheduled for December 11th at Liverpool Aquatics Centre when Bobcats will be taking on Altrincham, Whitchurch, Northwich, Bolton, Tyldesley, Romily Arena and Leyland Barracudas for the trophy.

The Bobcats have also been in Burnley town centre collecting valuable funds to cover pool costs and would like to thank the people of Burnley who very generously supported the collection.

Madison Beswick and Robert Bryce (pictured) helped with the street collection.
