Two Blessed Trinity gymnasts hope to be jumping for Olympic joy like former Team GB star Beth Tweddle.

She was also a tumbler from 11-14 years training at Diamonds Gymnastics Club in Halifax, and came second in a National Tumbling competition.

Lucy Williams has been competing in the British Team Gymnastic Finals since she was seven, and trains three times a week at Diamonds - a club is nestled in the heart of Calderdale, which offers a wide variety of gymnastic experience, from complete novice to high performer in virtually all areas covered by British Gymnastics.

She excels at tumbling, trampette, floor routine and vaulting, competing against are a large number of teams from all over the country.

Lucy said: “My favourite discipline is the tumbling as you are able to change your runs and vary the moves in your routine, unlike the other disciplines.”
