Marley Byrne and Daniel Frost are hoping to be a big hit in the tennis world.

Blessed Trinity Year 10 students Marley, 15, and Daniel, 14, both play tennis for Towneley Tennis Club, and helped the Under 16 team win the Burnley League last year.

They are hoping to emulate this again this year and want to take their tennis further.

“I have been playing for around two-and-a-half years,” said Marley, who has also represented Great Britain at ju-jitsu, and is going to the World Championships again in May.

“I really enjoy my tennis and I have cut down on all sports to concentrate on tennis and ju-jitsu.”

Daniel’s hero is Wimbledon winner Andy Murray and he wants to star on the tennis court: “It’s fun and it keeps me fit as well,” added Daniel.

“They are both fantastic ambassadors and will hopefully help our Under 15 boys team do well this year in the Lancashire Tennis League,” said Claire Juriansz, Curriculum Leader for PE and Sport.
