Andy Samuels claimed the Glen View Trophy at Burnley Golf Club with his best gross of 72+78=150.

Chris Adams’ Captains Day competition was won by Simon Newton (84-19-65), from Stuart Henderson (73-6-67) and Steve Keenan (82-13-69). Anthony Keenan’s 70 was best gross.

The Captain’s Shoot-Out was won by Ian Owens, with runner-up Anthony Keenan.

In the Mid week Medal, Simon Murphy’s 42 points won from David McDonough (40) and Owens (38).

Lady Captain Brenda Roosens’ competition, over 12 holes, was won by Lisa Wilson (58-8-50), after cards from Lynda Wills (61-11-50), with Joyce Green (64-11-53) third.

Terry Clough and Alan Hicks won the men’s foursomes final at Towneley Gold Club.

The veteran pair beat their younger opponents Gary Chadwick and Glyn Carlin in a competitive final.

Great grandad Clough wins yet another major at the club, while this was Hicks’ first board competition win.

The pair now go on to represent Towneley in the prestigious Daily Mail Foursomes event.

Dave Sedgewick and Andy Trickett won the fourball betterball with an impressive 49 points, with Gary Chadwick and John Turner runners-up with 45 points.

Gary Byrne won the Municipal Cup with a gross 65, with Accrington’s Z. Hargreaves taking the Rosebowl with his 75-10-65.
