Last weekend, Lowerhouse seconds enjoyed a victory double to maintain their 100% start to the season.
First up, they beat Rawtenstall by seven wickets after bowling the Rossendale side out for 215.
Joseph Halstead, 14, took 3-28, Jamie Woodall 3-39 and Tom Bridge, also 14, 2-33, before Dec Bailey (76 not out), Ben Gorton (42), Lewis Marsden (38 not out) and Joseph Halstead (30) saw the West Enders home.
Then against Enfield, Corey Hope took 3-5, Rhys Woodworth 3-14, Halstead 2-1 and Woodall 2-14 as Enfield were blown away for 40.
Gorton (22 not out) and Phil Haggerty (17 not out) ensured a 10-wicket win.
Lowerhouse Under 17s beat Haslingden after scoring 114-4, which even when reduced by rain to a target of 102, was too much - Haslingden reaching 80 -6. The innings was stuttering until Will Norcross played a quite magnificent innings, scoring 50 not out.
A late boost from a 40 stand from Ben Gorton and James Wheatcroft saw a respectable total.
The Under 1s3 Cougars batted solidly to make 235-2 against Rishton, before Jake Turner’s 2-3 turned the game against the Blackburn side, who closed on 223-4.
Lowerhouse Under 9s Bees had a morale-boosting win after two defeats to their A team, as Sam Hancock secured victory with a six in the last over against Todmorden.
