BURNLEY District Under 12s and Under 14s girls participated in the LCB indoor challenge in Skelmersdale.

In the five-team indoor challenges, the girls acquitted themselves well at both age groups, with the Under 14s in particular playing well, the loss of the last game by one run costing them the runners-up slot.

The girls will feature in a number of matches against a number of Northern counties, and a Southern tour based in Malvern.

Both girls have come through the system at Lowerhouse CC and received specialist coaching from Qasim Ali with the District.
