BARDEN hosts a big Umbro Masters Trophy clash tonight between Burnley Miners and Commercial Old Boys from Colne.

The game at Burnley United’s ground kicks-off at 7 p.m., with a number of well established faces of both the professional, semi-professional and amateur game of years gone by in action.

Commercial beat Burnley Miners 3-1 recently, with both sides in with a chance of finishing in the top two in their group and progressing to the Masters Trophy, with third and fourth place earning a berth in the Champions Trophy.

Both sides have a few well known faces, with Commercial calling on a number of players with a distinctive past - former Clarets Ian Britton, Graham Lancashire, Phil Malley and Brendan O’Connell, as well as former Nelson manager John Bailey.

Burnley’s side includes Kiko Rodriguez, father of Burnley forward Jay, and also former Colne manager John Lister.

Both teams would welcome any support.
