Naomi Hartley is an England star after captaining her country in a recent game.
The Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic College student had already made her international debut for England Under 16s against Germany earlier in the year and went on to face Norway at St George’s Park.
The 15-year-old defender helped her team to a 2-1 victory and wore the captain’s armband for the last 25 minutes.
“I was really proud and so were my mum and dad,” said Naomi. “England Under 16s are high in the world rankings so it’s a high level we play at.”
Naomi now plays for Manchester United Ladies after impressing the scouts.
