Brierfield Celtic Under 8s produced an outstanding display against Readstone United Blue.

here were fantastic goals from Johnny Stevens and Louis Rodgers, while Sulayman Khan bagged a hat-trick.

Celtic’s Under 10s Blue got back to winning ways with a 3-1 success at Barrowford Celtic.

William Sledding, Nathan Allan and Bailie Copeland were on target, with Jude Mercer the star man.

Cain Buck opened the scoring after just 45 seconds, and soon after Jack Burrows rose in the box to put away a great header.

Captain for the game Bradley Titherington then scored the first of a brace, before Ryan McGinty claimed a first half treble, as the locals led 7-1 at the break.

In the second half, Wilpshire pulled two more back, before McGinty struck again, and Ben Kelly battled his way through for the ninth.

Celtic’s Under 15s Red scored two class breakaway goals against the run of play against Pendle Forest to go into a 2-0 half-time lead, eventually going on to win the match 3-1.

Goals came from Jason Bentley, George Bury and Rahill Sidiq.

Pendle Forest Wolves lost 11-0 to Pendle Forest Under 12s Hawks in this Pendle Forest derby, with the icing on the cake being a clean sheet for Adam Eccles, Thomas Bradshaw, Henry Spencer, James Snelson and Daniel Bellamy.

Man of the match was Ashley Howarth.

A fine performance from Forest’s Under 9s Pythons resulted in a 5-0 win against Bacup Blue in the Warburtons League, with Lewis Whitlow scoring two, while Luke Stowe, Thomas Holdan and Brandon Howley were also on the scoresheet.

The Under 9s Cobras won 3-1 at Readstone United Blue in the North Valley League thanks to goals from Luke Stowe, Elliot Barker and Alfie Percival.

The whole team played well on a heavy pitch, and the scoreline could have been more emphatic but for some superb saves from Readstone’s keeper.
