PADIHAM St Leonard’s Primary emerged victorious from the Burnley Borough Under 11s Football Final at Spirit of Sport.

Burnley School Sport Partnership, in-conjunction with local secondary schools, hosted several qualifiers leading to a final.

A total of 27 schools and over 250 children took part in the 7-a-side competition in a series of local qualifying tournaments, competing for the chance to make it through to the Borough Final.

Eight teams from the 27 qualified for the Borough Final, with Brunshaw Primary School and St Leonard’s battling it out for a place in the County Final.

St Leonard’s emerged victorious after breaking down Brunshaw’s defences, and netting a late goal which proved to be the match winner.

Every Borough across Lancashire will host a local qualifier leading to the county final.

St Leonard’s will now represent Burnley in a county final organised by Lancashire Schools FA – The Under 11’s IDI Consultancy Trophy.
