THE only winner as far as Padiham Football Club was concerned over the weekend was the weather, as all six of their scheduled league and cup fixtures were postponed due to water logged pitches.
Padiham FC’s reserve side suffered the most frustration as their cup fixture at Ashton Town wasn’t called off until the Storks had embarked on the journey.
However, Craig Chadwick’s side are back in action tonight when they travel to play Squires Gate in the North West Counties Premier Division. The fixture will kick-off at 7-45 p.m. The Storks will be without John Blackley, who is suspended, and injured duo Stuart Telfer and Sean Davis.
The Storks are also on their travels on Saturday when they visit Alsager Town. Any supporters who want to travel on the team coach, which leaves Padiham at 11-45 a.m., can contact club secretary Alan Smith on 07775 717698 to reserve a seat.
The much-anticipated NHS Bird Cup final between a Padiham FC XI and Rock Rovers will take place on Tuesday, December 13th with kick-off at 7 p.m.
