Padiham Football Club’s AGM revealed the Storks lost nearly £18,000 in their NWC Premier Division title-winning season.

The loss was mainly down to the cost of ground improvements needed to cement their promotion to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

Further upgrading costs not recorded in last season’s accounts will be carried forward into this season’s, and as such will again have a serious impact on the club’s financial situation.

However the expected payment to the club of an FA grant towards some of the improvement works at the Arbories will help matters.
