Padiham won the Bird Cup for the second consecutive season following a repeat of the 2012 Cup Final.
The cup, sponsored by Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Marsden Building Society brought together the two most successful clubs in its short history, with Rock Rovers winning the first final in 2010.
Rovers shaded the first half in a the final at the XLCR stadium, home of Colne, and Alex Heap forced young Padiham keeper Marcus Burgess into an early save.
Padiham, however defended very well and man of the match Tom Murphy, made several important tackles.
The Storks took the lead early in the second half with a well-worked move completed with an excellent finish from Gareth Hill. Tom Walsh was on target shortly afterwards, and, as Rock pushed forward looking to close the gap they conceded another four goals. Both Hill and Walsh added further goals while Murphy and Kieran Britton were also on target to secure a comfortable victory.
Ian Hall, Head of Learning and Development at Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust named Tom Murphy as man of the match.
