Padiham Reserves added to a season of success at the Arbories by winning the Vodkat North West Counties Football League Reserve Division title.

The club have enjoyed a magnificent campaign, with the first team finishing a superb fourth in the Vodkat League Premier Division, while the ladies’ team lifted the Lancashire FA Women’s County League First Division crown.

Padiham Reserves have only achieved the feat once before, back in 2002/03, and for manager Chris Price, it was his third trophy of the season as he also managed Padiham Under 16s to the East Lancashire Alliance Youth League title and the East Lancashire Alliance Youth League side to the Lancashire FA Inter-League Cup.

Padiham secretary Alan Smith said: “I have nothing but praise for the players and the management team that secured the Reserve Division title, and for the players that had progressed through to the first team during the season.

“To win the league as well as promoting players into the club’s senior team is a double bonus for the club, and one manager Chris Price and his assistant John McGregor should be congratulated on being able to achieve.”
