An unbelievable team effort from Shuttleworth College Year 11s saw them achieve a thumping 11-3 victory over Unity College in the Burnley Schools’ Cup Final.

On a poor playing surface, the quality of football was superb.

There were five goals from debutant Aiden O’Neill, with the others coming from Billy Hanson, Callum Sudders, Connor Green, Marc Greenwood and Nathan Kennerley, capping a display worthy of winning any cup final.

Mr Baiamonte said: “The lads totally outplayed their opponents from the first minute to the last, with some moments of individual brilliance and an impressive passing game.

This is nothing less than they deserved, as they have been a pleasure to work with this year, showing dedication, effort and a passion to wear the shirt.”
