Readstone United Under 10s went down on penalties to Clitheroe Wolves in the Cup Final.

Wolves opened the scoring, and then, with virtually the last kick of normal time, Jack Leaver equalised.

Extra time still could not separate the teams, and Wolves won the penalty shoot out. Nathan Danson was man of the match for United, but all the players deserve praise for their efforts.

Readstone Under 11s were beaten 5-3 by Pendle Forest in the Consolation Cup Final.

At half-time the teams were drawing 1-1, and then two early goals from Readstone looked to have the game won.

But constant pressure from Pendle Forest saw them take the game to extra time, where they sealed a 5-3 victory. Goalscorers were man of the match Callum Bentley (2), and Owen Parker.

Readstone Under 12s Yellow, however, beat Briercliffe 4-3 in the Cup Final.

Readstone were coasting to victory after early goals from Harry Burrows (2) and Alasdair Moir, but Briercliffe fought back to score three goals.he game was heading for extra time until Joseph Holt scored from the spot.

Star man was Ben Dinning.

United’s Under 13s beat Brierfield Celtic 7-2 in the final of the Consolation Cup.

Lewis Carney netted a hat-trick, with further goals from Adam Collison (2), Joel Bentley and man of the match Elijah Bello.
