Football freestyle virtuoso Chris Draper is set to follow in the same footsteps as some of the globe’s greatest players.

The 22-year-old performed a 30-second masterclass of thrills and skills as part of the Adidas One Shot Challenge which has earned the keepy-uppy king a trip to Rio de Janeiro.

The Brazilian city, home of the Estadio do Maracana, played a huge part in the 2014 World Cup, and hosted games such as Argentina v Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain v Chile, the quarter-final between France and Germany and, of course, the final as Germany were crowned champions with a 1-0 win over Argentina.

The Clarets fan will spend six days on the country’s South East coast which was graced by the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria, Andres Iniesta, Alexis Sanchez, David Silva, Karim Benzema, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos and Mario Gotze just two months ago.

Chris, who has recently worked with Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Southampton, said: “I am very much looking forward to it.

“I think it’s the dream of any sports fan to go to Brazil.

“For me, as a football freestyler, it’s a fantastic opportunity for me to see where a lot of the world’s most skilful footballers have grown their talent.”

Chris, who has also been booked on the Powerade Tour of the UK where he’ll be freestyling for three days in Birmingham, London and Hull, added: “I feel I am developing well as a football freestyler. And I’m always looking to continue my improvements because freestyle is limitless.

“I’m setting my sights on breaking into the world top 100 someday during my career. It would be a great achievement if I could break in to that bracket.”
