A CHARITY football match helped raise £250 for Help for Heroes at Bank Hall on Sunday.

Decorpart Old Boys - average age 40, who hadn’t kicked a ball between them for at least eight years - took on AFC Veterans, who, despite their name, had an average age of 25.

Decorpart took the lead when Boyd Gough rolled back the years and curled a shot from outside the box into the top corner.

AFC Vets equalised, then took the lead, and though Decorpart equalised through Rob Ibbottsen, the age gap started to show and the younger legs of AFC Veterans carried them through to a 5-2 victory!

Decorpart manager and organiser of the event Ian McClymont would like to thank everybody involved for their participation.
