AFC Burnley secured a massive 3 points with a 3-2 win against Sydney Street.
AFC struck early on when Damian Whitehead picked up the ball out wide and ran menacingly at the defence and struck low into the corner.
Alex Shaw got an assist for the second as Whitehead brought his goal tally to an impressive eight goals in nine league games.
AFC became complacent, however, and conceded a soft goal after a mix up between Declan Brittain and Craig Lee.
Sydney Street equalised soon after with a well-worked goal, but AFC managed to settle the ship and go in level.
The second half was all AFC, but they couldn’t find the final touch until seven minutes to go when man of the match Gary Howarth was replaced by player manager Shane Hudson, and he popped up three minutes from time to score the winner after a shot from Whitehead was palmed away.
