Burnley have been drawn at home to Sunderland in the last 32 of the Premier League Under 21 Cup - if they can beat Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road on Wednesday.

The Clarets beat Wigan Athletic in a penalty shootout at Turf Moor a fortnight ago to reach the second round, where they will take on provisional Category 2 club Crewe.

Category 1 clubs come into the competition in the third round, with the winners of the tie on Wednesday, kick-off 7 p.m., to host the Black Cats.

The North draw is: Middlesbrough v Everton; Coventry City or Notts County v Wolverhampton Wanderers; Blackburn Rovers v Derby County or Hull City; Stoke City v Manchester City; Bolton Wanderers v Barnsley or Leeds United; West Bromwich Albion v Nottingham Forest; Burnley or Crewe Alexandra v Sunderland; Leicester City v Huddersfield Town or Sheffield Wednesday; Sheffield United or Birmingham City v Newcastle United.
