On this day: Burnley 2, Arsenal 0

Seven years ago a Kevin McDonald brace for Owen Coyle's Burnley side sent Premier League giants Arsenal crashing out of the Carling Cup.

The then 20-year-old midfielder scored in each half to send the Clarets through to a two-legged semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur which the Clarets eventually lost through two late Roman Pavlyuchenko goals.
