Clarets captain Jason Shackell has been voted Burnley’s player of the month by supporters.
The defender came out on top with 32% of the Burnley Express-NoNayNever.net poll. The award celebrates a month in which just one league goal was conceded - an own goal by Shackell in the 2-1 victory over Reading.
Kieran Trippier - who picked up a number of key assists - came second with 16%, narrowly ahead of Danny Ings, Scott Arfield, Sam Vokes and Tom Heaton.
In total 12 players received votes - plus two for Bertie Bee - emphasising the strength running through the team.
Voting for November’s award opens at the final whistle against Huddersfield on the 30th.
