Clarets goalkeeper Tom Heaton and defender Stephen Ward were unused substitutes as England and the Republic of Ireland drew 0-0 in Sunday’s iniernational friendly.

Heaton, who donned the number 23 shirt as one of 12 substitutes named by Roy Hodgson, watched the stalemate from the sidelines at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The 29-year-old, who kept 10 clean sheets in the Premier League, will remain among the 24-man Three Lions pool for the Euro 2016 Group E Qualifier against Slovenia in Ljubljana on Sunday , which kicks off at 5 p.m.
