The attendance for Burnley’s Championship home game against Birmingham City has been adjusted to 15,061.

This is due to a clerical error when reporting the original attendance.

In line with standard practice, the attendance at Turf Moor usually includes all match tickets sold for the game, including season tickets and corporate attendees.

Non-attending season ticket holders are included in the final total, as they have effectively purchased tickets for that game.

However, Saturday’s publicised attendance of 12,430 did not include the non-attending season ticket holders.

It is quite common throughout football to have a high number of non-attending season ticket holders at games, with up to 1,000 the norm at Turf Moor.

This number usually increases during the traditional summer holiday period.
